Course benefits

The hairstyling and makeup introduction courses are a stepping stone and will open up your opportunities working within the industry or if you’re already working as a makeup artist and you want to learn basic hairstyling skills or you're working as a hairstylist and want to learn basic makeup skills this course will give you the confidence to achieve simple but effective techniques to provide a complete service to your clients.

Each session is approximately 3 hours. Currently available Mondays and Thursdays 10-1pm or 2-5pm. Please enquire if these dates/times are unsuitable and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Practical sessions

Each one to one course will vary and be adapted depending on each individuals ability.

• Hairstyling/Makeup demonstration

  & student practical on mannequin or model 

• Model Consultation/preparation 

• Tutor/Model Demonstration

• Aftercare/Q&A

On completion you will receive a certificate  accredited by 'Professional Beauty Direct' this will enable you to obtain public liability insurance to work self employed.

The courses are suitable for anyone from all industry backgrounds and of all ages over 18 years.

The courses are either one to one or small group training.

There are no written tests, it’s all informal learning in a fun relaxed atmosphere.
